Trion 1Build was originally founded as Trion Investments (Pty) Ltd in 1973 by Bobby Vos, father of the current Managing Director, Deon Vos.
Initially, the company focused on construction projects in Sasolburg, successfully delivering a variety of residential developments in Sasolburg and Vanderbijlpark—from private homes to townhouse complexes. In 1994, Deon Vos joined the company, leading to expansion into Johannesburg.
During this period, the company completed low-cost housing projects, sectional title developments, and retail centres in Alberton and Rustenburg. Additionally, it delivered high-end homes in Dainfern, Fourways, and Pecanwood Estate.
From 2006 to 2008, notable achievements included the 48-unit Kipler View sectional title complex, luxury homes in Meyersdal Eco Estate, Forest Town, and a guesthouse/office complex in Centurion.
Projects also expanded to Bloemfontein with three four-star guesthouses, 15 residential units in Barberton, and a game farm restaurant with chalets near Machadodorp.
In 2008, the company began a large-scale development of 332 residential units at Windmill Park Ext. 12, completed in 2009. Phase 2 added another 498 units by year-end.
That same year, the company delivered 100 units for Goldfields Mines in Johannesburg.

101 upmarket units at Savanna Falls, Rustenburg. Affordable homes in Ethembeni Park, Boksburg (150 units), Springs (300 RDP units), and Frankfort (400 RDP units).
Two luxury homes in Pretoria East and South Hills. 700 RDP units in Ficksburg. School extensions at Primary school Helderkruin.
Multi-storey student accommodation in Potchefstroom. 9.2 From 2020 to 2021, the company successfully delivered two residences in Rayton. Renovations to high-end homes in Cullinan and Wapadrand.
A filling station for Quick Fuel in Bronkhorstspruit.
Recent developments include 288 luxury units and additional homes in Midrand. Modern residences in Silverlakes, Mooikloof, Aqua Vista (Bronkhorstspruit), Midstream, Rayton Manor, Middelburg, and Garsfontein.
Current Projects Trion 1Build is currently developing 132 residential units in Pretoria North. In addition, two residences in Rayton are under construction, with five more in the planning phase, set to begin in early 2021.
Project Teams, with eight supervisors and access to multiple skilled teams, we manage simultaneous small- and large- scale developments efficiently.
Equipment & Partnerships. We own essential construction equipment including: TLBs, front-end loader, Bobcat, Dingo diggers, Tipper and low-bed trucks, Comprehensive scaffolding.
A comprehensive team of engineers, managers, and supervisors with extensive experience in real estate development, construction and sales.
We’ve also partnered with Neo-Africa Group (Secopa) to promote skills development and inclusivity, aligning our leadership and workforce with national transformation goals, giving us access to a 9 CIDB rating.
Financial Stability Trion 1Build is financially sound and qualifies as a corporate client with FNB. We maintain solid credit lines with suppliers, built on decades of dependable service and delivery.
Other Building Expertise. We recently launched an eco-friendly roof tile manufacturing plant in Johannesburg, converting waste materials into sustainable roofing products.The plant was subsequently sold to Marley Roofing systems.
Credentials & Recognition. We are registered with NHBRC level 200 (developments status) and SASFA.
In 2019, we were honoured by the NHBRC as one of Gauteng’s top construction firms.
